THE METHOD: Runes are cast by hand onto a consecrated cloth under appropriate conditions: moon phase, timing and ritual preparation are observed. I work with the Elder Futhark in the tradition I was raised in. Alongside the rune cast I read the omen field: the conditions of the casting, what falls near what, what lands reversed, what refuses to land at all. I observe any signs or disturbances that arise during the working and include these in your report. Bones and other divination tools may be incorporated at my discretion if the reading calls for it. ABOUT THE MAKER Kia ora. I'm Hilda. I live and practice in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Folk magic has been passed down through my family for generations — not as something mystical or separate from life, but as a practical response to harm and imbalance when gentler methods fail.
