Your hands have been keeping secrets. Every line, mount, mark and formation on your palms is a map! Of who you are! What you are capable of! What fate has already decided for you! What darkness lives in you that you have never fully named! What enemies you will make, what losses you will suffer, what power you carry that you may not yet know how to use. Palmistry is one of the oldest diagnostic arts in the world. I do not read it as a party trick. I read it the way it was intended: as a serious cartography of a human life, including the parts most readers flinch away from. I do not.

WHAT THIS READING COVERS:

~ THE LINES

‣The Life Line: Most people think this line tells you how long you will live. It does not. That is a myth perpetuated by fairground readers who wanted something dramatic to say. What the life line actually tells you is far more interesting: the raw force and quality of your vital energy, your physical and emotional resilience, where your life has been fundamentally interrupted or redirected, and where major upheavals are written into the foundation of your existence. A break in the life line does not mean death. It means something ended and something else began, whether you chose it or not. I read every interruption, fork, branch, island, and chain in this line and tell you exactly what each one means.

‣The Fate Line: Not everyone has one. If you do, it is one of the most revealing lines on the hand. The fate line shows the degree to which your life is being lived according to an external design versus being built by your own choices and will. Where the line is strong and clear, fate is in control. Where it fragments, fades, or shifts, you have intervened in your own destiny, for better or worse. I look at where your fate line originates (from the wrist, from the life line, from the mount of the moon) because the origin tells me who or what has been driving your life from the beginning. I look at where it terminates and what it passes through on the way. Crosses and stars on this line indicate fate-level interference, sudden reversals, and points where something outside your control stepped in and changed everything.

‣The Heart Line: This is not a love line. Calling it a love line is a domestication of something far more complex and far darker. The heart line reveals your emotional nature in full: your capacity for obsession, your relationship with control and manipulation in intimate contexts, whether you love deeply or strategically or destructively, what you are genuinely capable of when emotionally activated, and where your emotional life has been or will be catastrophically disrupted. A chained heart line indicates emotional turbulence and instability. A heart line that curves sharply downward toward the head line indicates that emotion is always subordinated to strategy. A short heart line with a strong fork can indicate a capacity for emotional detachment that others would find alarming. I read this line without romanticising it.

‣The Head Line: The head line is the map of your mind: how you think, how you process, how you deceive yourself and others, where your intelligence is your greatest weapon and where it becomes your greatest liability. A long straight head line indicates analytical and strategic thinking, sometimes to the point of coldness. A head line that slopes deeply into the mount of the moon indicates a mind that lives in imagination, intuition, and sometimes delusion. A forked head line (the writer's fork) indicates the ability to see things from multiple perspectives simultaneously, which is a gift and a manipulation tool in equal measure. Breaks, islands, and crosses on the head line indicate periods of mental crisis, breakdown, or fundamental shifts in how you see the world. I look at the relationship between the head line and the heart line specifically: when they are close together or touching at the start, it indicates a childhood in which emotional and mental development were constrained by external circumstances.

‣The Death Marks: This is the section most palmists refuse to read at all. I consider it one of the most important. Death marks are not literal death predictions: they are indicators of major endings, catastrophic losses, fate-level events, and points of fundamental destruction and transformation in a life. They appear as crosses on the mount of Saturn, stars on the life line, breaks and interruptions in the fate line accompanied by specific secondary marks, and certain formations on the mount of Jupiter. I read every mark of this nature that appears in your hands and tell you plainly what it indicates. I do not soften this section. If something significant is written there you deserve to know it.

‣The Intuition Line: Not everyone carries this line and those who do often do not know what it means. The intuition line runs along the percussion edge of the hand in a gentle curve and indicates a strong connection to instinct, psychic sensitivity, and non-rational knowing. In the context of a practice-oriented person it is a significant marker. I note its presence, strength, and any marks upon it.

‣The Via Lascivia: A secondary line that appears on some hands and is almost never discussed in mainstream palmistry. Historically associated with excess, appetite, sensitivity to substances, and in some traditions with a connection to the more transgressive aspects of human nature. Its presence and formation are noted and interpreted.

‣Lines of Opposition: Horizontal lines cutting across the mounts of the hand from the percussion edge indicate people in your life who have actively worked against you, opposed you, or caused you difficulty. The number, depth, and placement of these lines tells me something about the nature and severity of the opposition you carry. This section connects directly to enemy work and is one of the more practically useful parts of the reading for those engaged in active magical practice.

‣Trauma Markers: Islands, chains, and specific interruption patterns in the lines carry information about periods of significant stress, loss, or damage. I note these not to dwell on the past but because unresolved trauma markers sometimes indicate ongoing energetic or spiritual conditions that are still active and still affecting the present.

~ THE MOUNTS The mounts are the fleshed pads of the palm, each governed by a planetary or archetypal force. I examine every mount for dominance, flatness, displacement, and markings. The Mount of Saturn sits beneath the middle finger and governs fate, discipline, restriction, death, and shadow. A dominant mount of Saturn indicates a person who carries weight, who understands darkness intuitively, and who has a natural relationship with the more chthonic aspects of existence. A flat or absent mount of Saturn can indicate a person who avoids accountability, who refuses to look at the harder truths of their life. Crosses and stars on this mount are among the most significant death marks in palmistry. The Mount of Mars has two aspects: inner Mars (aggression, courage, the capacity for direct conflict) and outer Mars (resistance, endurance, the ability to withstand sustained pressure). I look at both and tell you where your martial force lives and where it is absent. This is particularly relevant for those engaged in enemy work and baneful practice. The Mount of the Moon governs imagination, intuition, the unconscious, water, and in many traditions the dead and the spirit world. A dominant mount of the moon is common in those drawn to magical practice. It also indicates a susceptibility to being pulled into fantasy, delusion, or obsession. Marks on the mount of the moon can indicate a strong connection to the ancestral dead or to spirit contact. The Mount of Venus governs vitality, sensuality, attachment, and the force of desire. I read it not through a romantic lens but through the lens of what drives you, what you are bound to, and what you cannot easily release. The remaining mounts, Jupiter, Mercury, Apollo and their markings are read in full as they appear and contribute to the complete picture of your character and your fate.

~ THE MARKS Stars, crosses, triangles, squares, grilles, and other secondary formations are mapped across the hand and interpreted in context. A star is one of the most significant marks in palmistry and its meaning shifts depending entirely on where it falls. A star on the mount of Jupiter indicates ambition fulfilled and authority gained. A star on the mount of Saturn is one of the classical death marks. A star on the life line indicates a sudden and significant event, not always negative but always major. I document every significant mark I find and tell you what it means in the context of its location and the lines surrounding it. Crosses are indicators of difficulty, obstacle, and in some positions, significant fate-level interference. The cross on the mount of Jupiter is one of the classical indicators of a strong and lasting relationship. The cross between the heart and head lines, known in some traditions as the mystic cross, indicates a strong intuitive and occult sensitivity. I note all crosses and their positions. Triangles indicate talent, ability, and sometimes protected spaces in a life where difficulty cannot reach. Squares indicate protection and containment, sometimes literally indicating that a person has been shielded from consequences they should by rights have faced. Grilles indicate confusion, dissipated energy, and in some positions chronic difficulty in a particular area of life.

~ THE SHADOW SELF This is the section I consider most important and that most palmists skip entirely because it requires them to say things clients do not always want to hear. Your hands carry information about your hidden nature. The parts of yourself you do not show. The darkness you carry without naming it. Your capacity for harm, for self-destruction, for obsession, for manipulation. The impulses you manage in daily life and what happens when you stop managing them. This is not a moral judgement. It is an observation. Your shadow self is part of you and it carries real power. Knowing it clearly is more useful than pretending it does not exist. I read the shadow self through the combination of everything above: the relationship between the heart and head lines, the dominance of certain mounts, the presence of specific marks, and the overall pattern of the hand taken as a whole. I write this section plainly.

~ THE DOMINANT VS NON-DOMINANT HAND Your non-dominant hand is what you were born with. Your inherited potential. Your raw nature. The fate you came in carrying. Your dominant hand is what you have done with it. How your choices, your experiences, your will, and the things that have happened to you have shaped or overridden what you were given at birth. The difference between the two hands is one of the most revealing aspects of a palm reading. Significant differences indicate that a person has actively shaped their own fate, whether through will, through trauma, through magical practice, or through a combination of all three. Where the hands are very similar, fate is running largely uninterrupted. I examine both hands in full and spend specific time on what has changed between them and what that change means.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Kia ora. I'm Hilda. I live and practice in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Folk magic has been passed down through my family for generations — not as something mystical or separate from life, but as a practical response to harm and imbalance when gentler methods fail. I've been practising independently for over 15 years, and I work alongside a small coven when the work demands it. I work exclusively in shadow and black magic. I don't do healing. I don't do light work. My practice is rooted in malefic tradition — seeking justice through affliction, accountability through consequence, and returning harm to its source with compounding interest. I draw primarily from Seiðr (Norse fate-weaving and spirit work) and Luciferian traditions rooted in antinomianism and infernal current. I work with herbs, war water brewed on my own land, coffin nails, graveyard dirt collected with permission, iron, lead, copper, bones, and other traditional left-hand path materials. I maintain active shrines and working relationships with chthonic deities and spirits including Hekate, Lilith, the Norns, Hel, Angrboða, and Hine-nui-te-pō. I cast runes for active spellwork, read omens in tea leaves and dream work, and engage regularly with the dead, both ancestors and unquiet spirits. The entities I work with know my voice. They answer when I call. Every item in this shop is made by hand, in practice, with full intention.
